If you live outside South Carolina...think about visiting the Library during your next research trip. Operating hours are:
Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Sundays, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Mondays, 1:00 To 5:00 p.m.

March 2nd (ODDC Meeting at the Darlington County Historical
Commission); Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, March 22nd – 24th
(Easter Weekend); Saturday, April 5th (SCGS Board Meeting, Columbia);
Sunday, May 11th (Mother’s Day); Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, May
24th – 26th (Memorial Day Weekend). For additional

Also Open by Appointment. Please Call in Advance for an appointment during non-operational hours. (Many of our volunteers work full time jobs): Call the Hartsville Research Library at 843-857-0300 during the hours of operation or call Doris Bateman at (843) 332-2588 or call John L. Andrews Jr. (843) 332 - 1071 to set up an appointment.

Prosser. Topic: Using
Surveyors Techniques to Solve Genealogical
Problems. This program will provide a short overview of the
information contained in deeds and on plats and what can be learned
by using a surveyor’s method of research and analysis. Ferrell
Prosser has been a Professional Land Surveyor since 1963 in SC, NC,
and GA. He was the first surveyor appointed to the SC Board of
Engineering & Surveying Examiners. He served as SC Geodetic
Coordinator from 1978 – 1986.
